Thrust into the Storm of Life
Thrust into the storm of life
but is it life?
Or but a dream? As a God lies in deep slumber
Tides of change pulling to and fro
decisions made
ripples in time
Children raising their voices to the sky
Mysteries abound
Answers are obscured
And yet the seer nods his head
Raging winds swirl about as the masses gnash their teeth
caught in the grip of false prophets
seeking the shelter of knowledge
Sirens offering false hopes
Souls battered against the rocks of arrogance
Each one judging the other
Though they are lost in the throes of denial
As the God awakens
the waters of life calm
foolish children
disturbing dream
A Deep Sigh
A passing breeze A deep sigh A moment frozen in time A pattern unchanged
Autumn leaves begin to alter color Thoughts of the year now past Searching for changes Finding a pattern of behavior
A longing for growth Spirits in stasis The cries of a world Does no one hear
Evergreens standing tall Attitudes unchanged Leaves swirling all about Voices lost in the din
Life casts its shadow The dark half of the year looms A reflection of life The leaves begin to fall
New growth Or stagnation Change is in the leaves And so the mystery continues
The Valley of Silence
One day I found myself entering the valley of Silence An impulse I could not understand And yet one that I could not ignore And so I took a seat on the ground
As I sat there I became aware of a seed Nestled within the womb of our Sacred Mother A spark of life touched it gently And thus a beautiful flower was born
High above was the bright clear sky Azure blue like that from a dream Father Sun stretching his arms out wide Peace and serenity all about
As I sat there a gentle breeze wafted by A hint of aromatic smells titillated the senses Multi-colored Dragonflies soared all about Chasing the ancient mysteries of time
With a deep sigh I got to my feet Such tranquility was like a song To be heard ever so fleeting Tangible and yet not quite so
As I left the Valley of Silence And stepped onto the Plains of Life The muted laughter of a child Touched my senses with a start
A smile and a sigh all at once Experiences of life are all about Such are those in which we seek Sadly though, the results are those of which we create
